Book "Wartime Hajduk"

SKU: 31908

The Croatian sports club Hajduk was, as is well known, reestablished on the feast of St. Dujam in 1944 on Vis as the first reestablished team in Europe enslaved by fascism at the time. At the time, the United Nations reported on this event in its gazette, and towards the end of the war, the French Prime Minister, later President Charles de Gaulle, declared Hajduk the "Honorary Sports Team of Free France".

This part of the club's history was described in detail by the author of Hajduk's chronicler, Jurica Gizdić, and promoted together with reviewer Mija Grabovec and historian Tihomir Rajčić, as well as promotion manager Tanja Radmilo, who also translated the book into English.
